THE GAME OF THE GODS

THE GAME OF THE GODS

1. 1 The Game of the Gods is reflected in the human game.

2 And the Game is played in every corner of the earth.

3 And the Game is known by countless names.

4 And the Gods are known by countless names, spoken of in countless tongues, molded into countless legends and myths, interpreted in countless ways, attributed with countless qua1ities.

5 But the Gods, by whatever names, in whatever context, in whatever race, in whatever creed, in whatever culture, whether known or unknown, whether accepted or rejected, whether deified or rationalized, whether worshipped or opposed, whether loved or feared or hated, whether spoken of or forgotten, whether given the status of Godhood or reduced to mere psychological phenomena, whether welcomed or resisted, whether worshipped in a Church or a Temple or a Mosque or a Synagogue, or denied on a psychoanalyst's couch, whether seen or unseen, heard or unheard; though the permutations of man’s interpretations of the Gods and the Game of the Gods are endless, yet the Game is the same Game and the Gods are the same Gods, and no human label, human evaluation, nor human attitude can change them.

6 And the Three Great Gods of the Universe, JEHOVAH, LUCIFER and SATAN, by whatever names, play out relentlessly the human aspect of Their Universal Game, in every corner of the world of men.

2. 1 A human being is soul and mind and body.

2 And the Gods are the rulers of all humanity. And soul and mind and body are of the Gods.

3 And the Gods create. And the Gods divide. And the Gods manip- ulate. And the Gods share out the spoils. And the Gods dictate. And the Gods are in ultimate command. And the Gods vie. And the Gods take vengeance. And the Gods give help. And the Gods work miracles. And the Gods know the battlefield of hysteria. And the Gods channel conflict and strife. And the Gods bring peace and respite from the human game. And the Gods are the players whilst men are the pawns and the pieces.

4 And the Gods rule the soul, the mind and the body.

3. 1 And the soul is the core of the being, the basic root of his existence .

2 And the soul is the center of all that he knows, all that he feels and all that he understands.

3 And the soul is the great void of uitimate purity which is the being's knowledge of who and what he really is.

4 And the soul is the clear bright shining spark of pure conscious- ness by which the being knows his God.

5 And the soul is the weightless, formless, core of unshackled spirituality which is the spirit of CHRIST within the being.

6 And the soul is the true eye of the being, by which the being sees the nature of his own existence.

7 And the soul is the true ear of the being by which the being hears the voice of that which gives him life and motivation.

8 And the soul is the link which the being has with his Creator and the source of his existence.

9 And the soul is the true nature of the being. What the soul is, the being is; and where the soul is. the being is.

10 And the soul is without conflict.

11 And the Great God SATAN rules the soul.

4. 1 And the mind is a vast machine of agonizing conflict.

2 And the mind is the great spider's web in which the soul is trapped.

3 And the mind is the impenetrable barrier that separates the soul from his God.

4 And the mind is the blindness in the eye of the soul.

5 And the mind is the deafness in the ear of the soul.

6 And the mind is the contamination of the purity of the soul.

7 And the mind is the murky gloom that envelopes the soul and dulls the spark of pure consciousness which is the soul.

8 And the mind is the power of the soul divided against itself.

9 And the mind is the conflict of 1ife and death which ensnares the soul.

10 And the mind is what makes the being human and prevents him from being divine.

11 And the mind is the burden of the soul.

12 And the mind is the manufacturer of the lie, and the lie is fostered within the caverns of the mind, so that the being is trapped within the lie.

13 And the mind is the source of doubt and uncertainty, because of its state of conflict.

14 And the mind is the source of fear because of 'its state of conflict.

15 And the mind is the human predicament.

16 And the Great Gods JEHOVAH and LUCIFER ru1e the mind and the conflicts of the mind.

17 And one side of the conflict is ruled by JEHOVAH, and the other is ruled by LUCIFER.

18 And JEHOVAH rules the side of the conflict that demands harshness, self-discipline, purity of body, burdens of responsibi1ity, dedication to duty and expiation for all sins.

19 And LUCIFER rules the side of the conflict that inclines a being towards self-indulgence, the pursuit of peace and harmony, success, the ease and comfort of good living, and the fulfillment of ideals of love and human kindness.

20 And the conflict of the mind imprisons the soul within an endless struggle between considerations of what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad, what is true and what is false, what is success and what is failure, what is moral and what is immoral, what is progress and what is regress, what is accept- able and what is unacceptable.

5. 1 And the body is the battle ground for the conflicts of the mind.

2 And the body is the outward expression of an inward struggle, the physical expression of a mental dichotomy.

3 And through the body the conflict is enacted. and through the body there is gain and loss, success and failure, health and sickness, joy and suffering, paIn and pleasure, tears and iaughter, life and death. And these are the spoils of war in the battle of the mind. And the body manifests them.

4 And as the Great God SATAN rules the soul, so does He also rule the body and the demands of the body.

5 And as long as the battle of the mind continues, the body is torn between the two extremes, swinging like a pendulum from one to the other, or held rigid, locked, stultified between the two.

6. 1 And the soul struggles to be free of the mind, to negate all human values and agreements, to rise above all human conflict, to reach beyond the human game and to stand outside the bounds and limita- tions of human existence.

2 And the body struggles to be free of the mind, to negate all human values and agreements, to fall beneath all human conflict, to sub- merge under a blanket of physical sensation and to become lost in the gratification of animal instincts.

3 And this is the human struggle; body against mind, mind against mind, and mind against soul.

4 And in the human struggle is reflected the Game of the Gods.

5 And the Game is played in every corner of the earth.

6 And the Game is known by countless names.

7 And the Gods are known hy countless names, spoken of in countless tongues, molded into countless legends and myths, interpreted in countless ways, attributed with countless qualities.

8 But the Gods, by whatever names, in whatever context, in whatever race, in whatever creed, in whatever culture, whether known or un- known, whether accepted or rejected, whether deified or rational- ized, whether worshipped or opposed, whether loved or feared or hated, whether spoken of or forgotten, whether given the status of Godhood or reduced to mere psychological phenomena, whether wel- comed or resisted, whether worshipped in a Church or a Temple or a Mosque or a Synagogue, or denied on a psychoanalyst’s couch, whe- ther seen or unseen, heard or unheard; though the permutations of man’s interpretation of the Gods and the Game of the Gods are end- less, yet the Game is the same Game and the Gods are the same Gods, and no human label, human evaluation, nor human attitude can change them.

9 And the THREE GREAT GODS OF THE UNIVERSE, JEHOVAH, LUCIFER and SATAN, by whatever names, play out relentlessly the human aspect of Their Universal Game, in every corner of the world of men.
